Sign up for game day role by clicking the "Volunteer Sign Up" button (see below for Game Day Volunteer opportunities). Select as many or as few as you would like! Every hour counts.
Opportunities include:
Ball Shagger/Chaser: If a ball goes out of bounds, Ball Shagger/Chaser will toss the ball they have to the team that has the throw-in or goal kick and then run, and get the ball that was kicked out of bounds. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for sibling of players, future Teddies soccer players and Roosevelt students.
Concession Stand: Volunteers will:
Help to set up and close down the concession stand
Prep concession stand display
Prep and serve hot food options
Take customer orders and assemble them correctly; accept payments and make change as needed

Funds raised from working the Concession Stand and the Ticket Sales Table go directly to support the Teddy Boys & Girls Soccer Program.
Ticket Sales Table: Sell and take tickets at the main entrance of Al Gowans Stadium for Varsity games (and JV when combined with a Varsity game). Roosevelt Soccer Boosters receives $50 for selling tickets.

Verify starting line up, numbers and pronunciations with visiting coach
Announce: Team rosters/starting lineup; players entering the game; player who scored; player charged with foul; player taking free kick
Run game clock
Count down the last 10 seconds of the first half, second half and any overtime periods.
Play music during warm ups and half time
Make announcements such as thanking sponsors or announcing events for the evening
Training will be provided. Please email [email protected]if you're interested in this opportunity.
About Volunteering:
Minimum age to volunteer is 9 years old (or as young as 7 for ball shaggers).
Roosevelt students can earn service hours for volunteering.
Note: Student Athletes will not earn service hours if the volunteer opportunity benefits the sports program they are a participant in. For example, a JV Boys Soccer player will not receive service hours for volunteering during a Varsity Girls Soccer match.
Also Note: NHS Students may be able to record volunteer hours towards NHS required hours. Please validate with your NHS advisor.
