WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS - during the season, we are looking for game volunteers to support many aspects of each game held at the stadium, including tickets, concessions and announcement booth. All year long, we also seek volunteers for communications, planning special events, and more to support the soccer program.

ANNUAL BOOSTER MEETING

All are welcome at the Annual Minneapolis Roosevelt Soccer Booster Board meeting!

Join us prior to the start of the season and meet other Roosevelt Soccer supporters and board members, learn about what Boosters are planning for the season ahead, and cast your vote for the new board members.

SOCCER EVALUATIONS (tryouts) - Volunteers Needed!
Week of August 17, 2026
Locations TBA

Soccer evaluations (tryouts) are coming up next month! More information will be shared when it is finalized. Dozens of students will be attending with the dream of joining the Roosevelt Soccer Fall 2026 season. Boosters play a big part in helping make this week a success for students and their caregivers, particularly on Day 1. We need volunteers to help with:

Handing out pinnies
Confirming registration requirements (and help them complete registration, if needed)
Assisting with questions

Multilingual volunteers are particularly helpful, especially those who are proficient in Spanish.

Players cannot join the Roosevelt soccer evaluations without a completed registration. To register your player for the Roosevelt Soccer Fall 2026 season, please visit the RHS Athletics website for more information.

GIRLS SOCCER COACHES PRACTICE
July, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. (no practice July 4-10)

Anyone who wishes to play for the Roosevelt Teddies girls soccer program in the upcoming school year (2026-2027) are invited to join coaches practices.

This is a summer long practice that will cultivate team spirit, building a bond that will carry the program through the season and prepare players for evaluations the week of August 17 - 21.

All are welcome: If you will be attending Roosevelt in the Fall of 2026 or you will be in 7-8 grades at Sanford or Andersen United, come join us!

Captains practices in August are currently scheduled for:
August 5, 7, 10, 12 and 14
7 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

BOYS SOCCER CAPTAINS PRACTICE
June 15 - August 14, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Teddy Boys Soccer Captains Practice schedule for the summer 6-8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Roosevelt High School Practice Field.

First practice starts Monday, June 15. Practices go through Friday, August 14

YOUTH SOCCER CAMP UPDATES - Volunteers Needed
Weeks of August 3 and August 10

Registration closes after Friday, July 10 for the Roosevelt Youth Soccer Camp! It is already promising to be bigger than last year with many, many campers registered! If you or someone you know has a child currently in kindergarten through seventh grade please check out our registration for more detail on the camps. More about camp here.

Volunteers are Still Needed!

We are still looking for parents to help out during camp. Can you volunteer for a day or multiple days? Can you pick up lunch for coaches on one or both Fridays? Can you help on Mondays help with check in, including readying tee shirts and balls? Can you come take pictures? There are so many jobs that make this a success and we'd love your help! Please reach out to let us know that you are interested so we can find a role that fits your availability and interest.
Do you have a player that is interested in participating? Players can also just be a part of one of both weeks of camp and get a "Coach" shirt and lunch provided on each Friday. They can play a role as a coach, or assistant coach/helper for younger players. Please have them email us at [email protected] if they are interested in being a part of this amazing experience!
Do you have a Roosevelt Soccer Alum in your family that might be interested in helping? We are welcoming alumni again this year as adults on site (must be 18+). It's a fun way to stay connected to an amazing program and help kids learn soccer!
